Windows Authentication via Database

Is it possible to make the PC authenticate directly from a database instead of Actice Directory or LDAP?

We have username and passwords stored on our database - they are meant for a web based application. Is there any way I can leverage this for PC authentications? "??

Using pGina and Penrose, You can leverage your existing username/password stored in any database to authenticate against a Windows PC.

You will need to do the following:

  1. download and install pGina
  2. download and enable LDAPAuth plugin from pGina.
  3. download and install Penrose
  4. Map your existing username/password database to Penrose using Penrose Mapping Tool
  5. Point your LDAPAuth module to Penrose server
