Introduction

Penrose Server uses several ports to communicate with its clients (e.g. LDAP client and Penrose Studio). To use Penrose behind a firewall, you need to make sure that these ports are not blocked, or you might need to change it to different port numbers. These are the default ports, socket types, the associated services, and the client applications:

To change these ports, configure the appropriate parameters in Services. Also make sure that your client is using the correct port numbers. In Penrose Studio make sure that it points to the RMI port (default is 1099).
